I am responsible for creating a more inclusive and integrated community for all our members to thrive in. I assist in all aspects of our daily instructional program with focus on participants with more intensive needs. Some of which include members with autism , down syndrome , cerebal palsy , toileting and feeding needs.
One to one Para for a special needs child. I was involved in all aspects of her care . This included classroom instruction , physical and occupational therapy. Speech and recreational therapy and overall well being.
I started as direct care and was promoted to manager of a residence with 14 intensive care clients. I ran all aspects of the home from grocery shopping to meal planning , staffing and scheduling, yearly budgets and payroll and giving the best care possible to our resident and their families.
