  • MacKay manufactures complex parts requiring exceptionally specific dimension tolerances and quality requirements for medical, space, military, aerospace, and nuclear industries.
  • I worked in the Finishing department as a Microsoper. I used tools such as a dremel, knife, lathes, and more, to deburr, shape, and polish metal pieces, mostly under a microscope.
  • With each job, I followed engineering drawings/blueprints to ensure the final part matched customer specifications, using testing equipments to validate the product met all quality requirements.
  • I also worked in a class 10k clean room, where I cleaned, assembled, and packaged final products.
  • I worked with the QA lab and engineers on each work order, getting quality's approval before packaging final products, and again, before shipping packaged parts to the customer.

  • Unicep is a liquid contract manufacturer focusing on healthcare manufacturing, filling, and packaging solutions.
  • I was hired as a production operator, and eight weeks later began training as a Shift Lead.
  • As a lead, my responsibilities expanded to include working with Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT), Production Planning, the engineering team, and shipping departments. I helped ensure compliance with GMP, QSR/ISO, FDA, and all other regulatory requirements, placing/scheduling staff, training, and reporting to higher ups on day to day production operations.
  • I grew in this job a lot, particularly in regards to managing responsibility, handling many different roles, working in collaboration with many departments, and being a leader.
