Experience

Military - Feb. 2009 to Present

I have served in the South Carolina Army National Guard for over 17 years as an Infantryman. During this time I have served on two (2) deployments. In 2012 I served as a Specialist in Delta Company 4/118th IN in Kuwait performing route reconnaissance and performing staff duties to ensure our equipment shipped to our home armory after the deployment. In August 2022 I deployed with Alpha Company 1/118 IN to Kuwait as well. I then spent three months in Qatar as part of a Company Intelligence Support team working with Marine Joint Task Force 51/5 in support of the World Cup. I performed daily intelligence briefs, performed and documented Reconnaissance on all World Cup Stadiums to include both hard and soft targets. My unit and I then served in United Arab Emirates training with their military on urban operations. I served 14 years in a Heavy Weapons (Mounted) Unit, and several years in Light Infantry units. I am tactically and technically proficient in Weapons performance, tactics, map reading, land navigation, and other skills.

Police: 2015 - Present

I joined the Horry County Police Department in December of 2015. Since then I spent several years working as a Patrol Officer, answering daily 911 calls, domestic violence issues, and locating wanted persons to serve arrest warrants. I have worked many types of cases from proactive cases to locate and arrest drug dealers to stolen property. I take pride in my work and build strong cases that lead to arrests and convictions. I was promoted to Corporal as a road supervisor in 2022, and later became a detective in 2024. I worked in the Special Victim's Unit for approximately a year and a half, and now work in Property Crimes unit, adding to my investigative versatility.
