During the day long job shadowing experience with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, I gained exposure to the operations of a major law enforcement agency. I conducted an extensive tour of the departmental facilities and the detention center, obtaining a understanding of correctional oversight and logistics. Furthermore, I engaged with specialized units including K-9 Operations, the Drone Squad, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), and the Major Crimes and Investigations Division, providing me with unique insights into the technical/strategic methodologies utilized in modern policing and criminal justice.

During my multi day job shadowing experience at VetFriends, I gained a "behind the scenes" look at the operations of the organization dedicated to supporting U.S. veterans. I observed the management of their veteran networking platform alongside their integrated e-commerce. By engaging with their mission driven workflow, I developed a understanding of how digital platforms can build meaningful reconnection's for former service members. This job shadow provided valuable insight via support and business operations, reinforcing my commitment to high impact, service oriented work.
