Operated cutting machines to ensurere maximum carpet quality and kept up with rapid amounts of carpets on conveyor belt. Was also responsible for unplugging machine, swapping out plug machine, and preparing everything for change-overs to new carpet types. Had to keep floor clear of carpet pieces and debris as well.

• Responding to technician lights to find and fix problems throughout the shift to keep all machines running efficiently as well as monitor and record data pertaining to machine’s overall wellness. Met with engineers and other techs daily to discuss ways of improving productivity of machines. Maintained a clean area by removing dust, debris, and safety hazards.

• As a winder, I repaired string breakouts, removed completed yarn promptly, and ensured the machine remained stocked to optimize output efficiency. As a creeler, I ensured the availability of full yarn carts, supplied the machine with yarn, eliminated knots, and maintained a clean workspace.

• Kept card machines operational by addressing breakouts, replenishing tubs, and repairing machines to resolve cotton blockages. Managed the feeding room by opening cotton bales and supplying conveyor belts.
