  • As an Early Intervention specialist, we identify and address developmental delays and challenges in children from birth to 6 years old. Early invention involves intense focus on the 5 developmental domains: Cognition, Communication, Social/personal social Skills, Fine Motor and Gross Motor Skills. Early Interventionist at Student Solutions maintains a scholar load of 20-25 children.
  • As an EI, we develop each Initial paperwork, Curriculum Base Assessment, Routine Base Interview, Develop the child’s Individualized Family Plan, 6-month reviews on IFSP goals and outcomes, Transition meetings into a potential 3k program or to see if the child qualifies for Department of Disabilities and Special Needs services, Annual reviews, coordinate any therapies (Speech, Feeding, Physical, Occupational and aquatic) while maintaining updated records with them.
  • EI’s take time to do service coordination for each child to develop activities to promote any areas of delays and/or new goals. Service coordination is for the parents as well. EI's will research needs for parents that are trying to find parenting groups with similar situations and community events that are appropriate for their child.
  • EI’s give an hour of Family training to each child on our scholar load up to 4x a month. Family Training is provided in the family's home, daycare, or in a community setting. The EI works with the family and caregivers to teach their child through play and everyday routines. During the first years, children are learning through play to master skills and solve everyday problems.
