I am a recent tech school graduate looking to apply my experience in CAD programs as a drafter and be a great asset to my company. I have tech school training in mainly AutoCAD and Solidworks. I also have experience with Revit, Inventor, and CATIA. In addition to my CAD experience is an understanding of GD&T.
I started my education at Trident Tech learning AutoCAD. I first learned how to efficiently draft objects and create drawings. As well as how to properly dimension and annotate those drawings. I then graduated to 3D modeling in AutoCAD and creating complex 3D models.
I took three classes pertaining to Solidworks at Trident Tech. first learning the basics of creating parts from 2D drawings and creating basic assemblies. Next I learned more complex commands, and the basics of surfaces and sheet metal. Finally I created top down assemblies and learned how to do conduct studies. Using what i learned at Trident Tech i also completed the CSWA and CSWP exams.
Though my education mostly pertained to Solidworks and AutoCAD, my degree also included courses in Inventor, CATIA, and Revit. These courses gave me a good grasp of these programs and a good understanding of how they work and how they are distinct from one another.
I took one class and some SolidProffesor courses on GD&T. I learned how GD&T is applied and its importance in assuring that parts are produced correctly and effectively in the real world.
In addition to my Time at trident tech, I took classes on SolidProffesor.com pertaining to Solidworks, AutoCAD and GD&T, which i feel strengthened my knowledge on the subjects.
