Compassionate Lead Medical Assistant with extensive experience in clinical procedures and patient education. Managed clinical operations and staff, contributing to streamlined processes and enhanced patient care in orthopedic environments. Seeking to leverage skills in a collaborative, patient-focused setting.
I began my career with Orthopedic Specialists of Charleston in 2003 when it was still a private practice. I initially served as the office manager for the Daniel Island location, where I oversaw scheduling, front desk operations, and inventory management. After almost a year, I was promoted to Clinical Manager, a role that transitioned me to St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley. There, I managed the call center, clinical staff (including medical assistants), and radiology technicians.During a period of organizational restructuring, I had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. John Graham in a more focused administrative and clinical support role. Since 2006, I have served as his primary assistant, continuing through the practice’s transition to Roper St. Francis Healthcare in 2008. Our practice has focused primarily on sports medicine, particularly shoulder and knee arthroscopy. However, I am also experienced in joint replacement and upper extremity care (hand, wrist, and elbow), as well as foot conditions. My clinical skills include cast removal, suture removal, and assisting with various in-office procedures. Additionally, I contributed to developing a streamlined pre-certification process for hyaluronic acid injections (including Supartz and Durolane) in collaboration with Bioventus. I have also adapted to multiple electronic medical record systems over the years, most recently Epic, where I served as a trainer for staff. I made the decision to leave my most recent position due to organizational changes that altered team structure and dynamics. I am now seeking an opportunity where I can continue to contribute my experience in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
