Background Activities
- Beaufort Junior Leadership, Bluffton High Representative, 08/01/24-05/01/25: Chosen as one of two representatives from Bluffton High to participate in a leadership course organized by the Clemson University Extension Office and the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce. While part of the 4-H Program, we acquire essential leadership skills, engage civically, manage our time effectively, address community issues, and build networks and relationships. The program also emphasizes skill training, volunteering, and team building.
- LowCountry Community Church: I have been volunteering here since 2022. My contributions include assisting with setting up and breaking down events and supporting fundraising efforts for the Lowcountry Food Pantry and Bluffton Self Help. And occasionally in the summer acting as a sports camp counselor.
- The Special Olympics, since elementary school, I have supported the Special Olympics. I actively participate in "Best Buddies," a nonprofit organization committed to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation faced by the 200 million people globally who have intellectual disabilities.
- Cogroups, at Low-Country-Community-Church there is a bible study program where for 5 months you go with a small group of individuals and study a book of the bible. It allows you to create spaces to connect and grow with one another relationally and spiritually. I am new to cogroups but it is one of the best things that has happened to me and plan to continue with it.
