Provide high-acuity care for post-cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, valve replacements, and VADs.
Independently titrate vasoactive medications, including norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine, and nicardipine to maintain hemodynamic stability.
Manage sedation and analgesia using propofol, dexmedetomidine, fentanyl, and morphine including titration per patient needs.
Monitor and assist with advanced devices, including VADs, IABP, CRRT, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
Care for mechanically ventilated patients, collaborating closely with respiratory therapists to implement appropriate ventilator settings.
Communicate directly with physicians, CRNAs, and advanced practitioners (NPs, PAs) to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Perform continuous hemodynamic assessment and document ventilator settings, medication titrations, and patient interventions independently in Epic EMR.
