Managed 911 center and Emergency Management; promoted to Director of Community Services, overseeing Detention Center, Animal Shelter, and Animal Control. These 2 departments are the top difficult government agencies to manage. I had worked very hard to make both of the departments better, however I feel I was set up for failure. There were great improvements made in the departments with policies, procedures and hiring of employees. I was terminated for not turning in paperwork to the academy. I was not trained nor certified for the detention center. My role was to be the interim Director until a suitable director was hired.

• In March of 2017 my job title changed to Emergency Services Director from the EMS Director. I oversaw EMS, Emergency Management, 911 Dispatch and Risk Management also having my hand in the fire departments. EMS duties include the day-to-day operations, scheduling shifts, preparing/following a budget, making sure employees follow local, state and federal guidelines, instructing training and staffing ambulances when short staffed. Make policies for medical, employee and safety guidelines. 911 Dispatch duties consisted of overseeing the operations of the system, maintain radios and their operations and follow local, state and federal guidelines. Operated dispatch console and maintained NCL certification. Emergency Management duties include overseeing the department, apply for grants, maintain LEMPG grant, create and maintain emergency operations plans and follow state and federal guidelines. Risk Management was responsible for taking reports when injuries or accidents happen. Document damage and investigate the situation. Fire Departments tasks included being a voice for them as well as assisting when possible, getting their yearly paperwork and dispersing funds by check.

• Manage approximately 100 employees and approximately 40 units from ambulances to wheelchair vans. Trained new employees on procedures and protocols. There were 4 different bases in 4 different counties in South Carolina in which I managed. Duties included maintaining local, state and federal guidelines for patient care, overseeing maintenance of vehicles, scheduling, communications with contract facilities and maintain a budget.
