  • Serves as the lead technologist and technical supervisor for validation projects such as bringing on new equipment like the Diasorin Liason for QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus testing and Wastewater surveillance testing using the Kingfisher Apex system and Qiagen ddPCR machines keeping detailed documentation of the process.
  • Performs and interprets results of rtPCR and ddPCR for various microorganisms in up to 70 human wastewater samples weekly and thousands of human samples yearly for respiratory diseases.
  • Performs and interprets complex serological tests including IGRA and ELISA for diseases of public health importance weekly.
  • Performs and interprets the direct fluorescent antibody and monoclonal antibody testing procedures for rabies testing for up to 2000 samples yearly.
