  • Developed and implemented an integrative movement protocol tailored for stroke patients at both an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation clinic
  • The protocol merged elements of occupational therapy with adaptive yoga, utilizing both of my qualifications as an occupational therapy student and registered yoga instructor
  • Obtained approval from the Prisma Health Institutional Review Board (IRB) to conduct a mixed-methods research study evaluating the effectiveness of the integrative movement protocol on stroke recovery outcomes
  • Throughout my14-week rotation at Roger C. Peace, I facilitated individual and group adaptive yoga sessions for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injuries
  • I disseminated my findings through two in-service presentations for the occupational therapy department at Prisma Health, as well as a presentation at Presbyterian College to an audience of colleagues, professors, and community members
