  • Review, evaluate, and develop Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Program and Policy for South Carolinians with severe, lifelong disabilities including intellectual disability, autism, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.
  • Evaluate and approve service plans completed by providers of Case Management to ensure contract compliance, accuracy, and adequate delivery of Case Management
  • Utilize multiple data systems to review documents, service assessments, eligibility requirements, and service notes to ensure requested services are appropriate to meet identified needs.
  • Develop performance reports to maintain reliability and consistency in the evaluation and implementation of CSW, ID/RD, and HASCI Waiver policy, procedures, protocol, and standard assessments.
  • Coordinate with Waiver and Case Management Policy Staff to assist in developing policy to improve service systems for consumers, establish service definitions and criteria, improve compliance in plan development and implementation, trouble-shoot complex service problems, and deliver resolution of concerns.
  • Initiate and maintain positive working relationships by providing clear interpretation of regulations, policies and procedures, and implementing strategic directions, expectations and organizational practices.
  • Practice strong leadership skills through empowering individual and agency growth, providing opportunities for engagement and teamwork, and demonstrating reliability and consistency.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft applications, and coordinate with Technical Assistance Staff to ensure adequate remediation of identified issues.
