My name is Madison Richardson, I have lived all around South Carolina from the upstate to the low country. I am known to be hardworking as well as I never give up when things get hard no matter how many times it takes me to achieve it. I went to Mauldin High School for all four years of my schooling and I gained many new experiences and friends that I will cherish for years to come. I actually graduated from Mauldin High School a semester early in December of 2024, but I still walked across the stage with my class in May 2025. I got accepted into the College of Charleston with my early decision application on December 2nd, 2024. I have wanted to attend the College of Charleston since the first time I went to tour it during high school. The campus was absolutely beautiful and had a lot to offer academic wise. I was also accepted into the Spectra program for the College of Charleston, this was where I was able to live on campus, take two college courses, get communication skills, group-bonding skills, time management skills, as well as just get the experience of college life the summer before my freshman year of college. I currently work at the campus bookstore. Working on campus actually is really effective in the long run as a college student. This is because I am able to work around my class schedule, get to meet different students that come in looking for textbooks and merchandise, and also gives me a way to boost my communication skills when interacting with people while I'm behind the cash register. I still have three and a half years at the College of Charleston and I cannot be more excited for the future that is in store for me.
