Work History

TMA Coordinator

  • This position directs, controls and organizes TMA consumption for all generated TMA throughout the plant.
  • TMA Coordinator creates list of current TMA Inventory scanned into racks and patrols for TMA not scanned into racks.
  • TMA Coordinator audits/adjusts Mixing schedule relative to current TMA inventory levels, ensuring all possible outlets are utilized.
  • TMA that is off ticket, exceeding inventory target or days on hand, is set for disposal in blended recipes or other means. TMA Coordinator is responsible for managing.
  • Participate in TMA Cross Functional Team(s) to reduce TMA generation.
  • Coordinate with Process Engineering to maximize rubber recipes and recipe functionality in the mixer

Crew Leader

  • This position directs, controls and organizes production team member activities. Provides a safe work environment, while ensuring the quality and quantity of the product meets departmental requirements. Communicates company objectives and plans work. Seeks continuous improvement opportunities. Aims to reach goals while working a continuous operating schedule.
  • Organizes, assigns, schedules, develops, counsels, trains and leads work force daily to obtain production requirements.
  • Coordinates with support departments and plans daily activities, directs hourly team members to completion of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor, analyze, countermeasure quality related problems, providing training and retraining to team members as needed, ensuring proper method and development of team members skills and training needs through daily monitoring and follow-up.
  • Makes decisions on acceptability of questionable material components following Standard Practice guidelines.
  • Promotes quality awareness in the department with feedback to team members using personal contact with conspicuous standards.
  • Investigates, countermeasures and directs maintenance team members in repair to equipment-related quality problems.
  • The MT Crew Leader works closely with team members and Area Business Manager to develop plans which meet department objectives.
  • This responsibility involves all areas of production unit operations including manpower, materials, machine, methods and cost.

Standard Driven Process Leader

  • Responsible for coordinating Standard Driven Process activities for Area 100 to include preparing and monitoring monthly audits for the department, assisting in preparing Quality Trouble Report fault trees to ensure that SDP is being thoroughly followed.
  • Coordinate and with various cross functional teams to devise standards that will aid in efficiently running the department.
  • Film, direct, edit, and distribute OTRS videos.
  • Responsible for writing and updating all working standards.
  • Designed, implemented, and monitored the current training strategy of the mixing area.
  • Devised and monitored Standard Driven Process activities in the production area.
  • Created training spreadsheets that are used to track area training, these sheets are instrumental in tracking area training.
  • Represented the Aiken plant in the 2008 & 2012 corporate Standard Driven Process competition. The competition highlights best practices concerning Safety and Quality
  • Served on the Aiken 5S Board of Directors.
  • Currently serving on the Bridgestone Aiken “Green Team” that is coordinating efforts to make the plant a “zero waste” facility.
  • Currently serving as the Area Master Trainer. Master Trainer serves mentor and trainer to 20 Certified Trainers. Certified Trainers are responsible for training of over 90 Bridgestone Machine Technicians.

Quality Verifier

  • Conduct quality audits on product and verify that quality standards are being met.
  • Report audit findings to ABM, Section Leader, and Crew Leader.
  • Instrumental in constructing the current scanning workaway data tracking system in the area.
  • Coordinate with Process Engineering to prepare material that is abnormal for consumption.
  • Coordinate with crew leaders to define sub-standard quality trends and how-to countermeasure them.
  • Part of the cross functional team that organized the first floor First in First Out (F.I.F.O) slab system that is still in use today.
