Serve as the South Carolina State CODIS Administrator. Duties include overseeing the laboratory’s CODIS network and security, and quality assurance of DNA profiles stored in the system.
Perform Forensic DNA Analyst duties, to include DNA analysis of database samples; technical reviews of data generated by other qualified analysts, upload approved profiles into CODIS; confirm and disposition CODIS matches and issue resulting hit letters in a timely manner; testify as an expert witness in court.
Manage the DNA Capacity Enhancement for Backlog Reduction Program, including metric data collection for the DNA Database Department, application drafting, revisions, progress reports and participation in assessments.
Developed protocols, coordinated training, and oversaw the implementation of arrestee DNA collection for inclusion in the State DNA Database
Operated the passenger terminal to include processing passengers for military aircraft flights, checking bags, and screening luggage and passengers for potential security threats.
