I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a concentration in Food and Nutrition/Nutrition and Healthcare from South Carolina State University.
My academic training, combined with hands-on laboratory and public health experience, has equipped me with a deep understanding of the science behind nutrition, food safety, and disease prevention. I have direct experience in food microbiology, including research on foodborne pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Campylobacter, as well as analyzing microbial growth and contamination risks.
