Caring for patients and their families at an outpatient infusion office. Educating patients and families on treatment therapies, side effects, side effect management, and when to notify physicians. Administering various chemotherapies via IV infusion or injections. Monitoring for reactions and lab results.

Notifying physicians and other members of the healthcare team if referrals are needed.

Managing patient care in both the PACU and ICU setting. Teaching family members and patients about home care, when to follow up with physicians, and when to report to the Emergency Room or call 911. Collaborating with multiple members of the healthcare team to ensure the patients got the best care and advocating for others when they were unable to do so while supporting patients and family members and their wishes.

• Managing care for various types of patients including trauma, surgical, medical, and cardiac. Collaborating with members of the healthcare team to provide excellent care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting. Providing education and support to family members during difficult situations.

• Charge nurse for a 28 bed Oncology and Close Observation unit. Multi-tasking to ensure patient safety while managing and coordinating with staff members throughout the day. Providing excellent patient care with compassion.

• Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and fluids to the Oncology patient in an outpatient setting. Assisting Physicians with bone marrow biopsies, administering sedation as needed, and monitoring the patient until discharge to home.

• Charge nurse of a 28 bed Oncology unit. Managing up to 8 staff members per day. Providing care and comfort to Oncology patients and their families. Also when needed providing palliative care.

• Collaborating with patients healthcare team to ensure all needs are met for the Oncology patient on a Bone Marrow Transplant unit. Administering blood products, multiple antibiotics, and chemotherapy. Monitoring for graft versus host disease. Providing education and support to patients and family members.

• Assisting with the opening of an Oncology unit. Assessing the needs of patients and families, educating and providing excellent care in the inpatient Oncology setting.

• Staff nurse on a 25 bed Oncology unit. Assessing patient and family needs. Providing excellent, compassionate care. Relief charge nurse when needed.
